Franklin – Charles Irvin Bulls, 87, widower of Doris Perkins Bulls, passed away December 14, 2018 in Lake Prince Woods in Suffolk. He was born in Southampton County, a son of the late Charlie Watkins Bulls and Pauline Powell Bulls and was predeceased by his great grandson, Travis Allen "T.J." Mahony, Jr., and brothers-in law Lee Tolliver and Ray Haynie. Charles was a retired farmer and a retired National Guardsman with 20 years of service. He was a member of Black Creek Baptist Church, a former choir member and member of the Men's Bible Class. Charles was a 50 year member of the Black Creek Burdette Ruritan Club.
Survivors include two daughters Lynne B. Greco (George) and Kelly Rose Bunch; two grandchildren Jessica L. Chaney (Mark) and Amanda B. Mahony (Travis); two great grandchildren Bailey Rae Mahony and Emily Marie Chaney; three sisters Anne B. Gardner (Jesse Jr.), Sandra Haynie, and Brenda B. Tolliver; one brother Samuel W. Bulls (Patricia); and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Funeral will be held at 2 PM Monday, December 17, 2018, in Black Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Curtis Faison officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 PM Sunday in Wright Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to the Black Creek Baptist Church Building Fund. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
