Courtland – Cathy Ellis Moore, 60, passed away Friday January 6, 2017 at Sentara Obici Hospital. Cathy was born in Suffolk and raised in Suffolk and Zuni. She was a 1974 graduate of Windsor High School, a medical records clerk at Courtland Healthcare and the former head of the nursery at Courtland Baptist Church. Cathy attended Harvest Christian Fellowship and was a longtime volunteer at the Courtland Volunteer Rescue Squad, Hunterdale Fire Dept. and Franklin Fire and Rescue with a total of 30 years of service.

Survivors include her father, Earl Ellis (Barbara) of Franklin, two sons, Adam Moore (Kelle) of Courtland and Ryan Moore (Dorothy) of Franklin and their father, Shirley Moore of Chester, one grandchild, Charlette McKae Moore, one stepbrother, Bobby Cutchins (Diana) and their children of Franklin, one stepsister, Angela Cutchin (Greg) and their children of Franklin and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Cathy was predeceased by her mother, Shelby Jean Hedgepeth.

A funeral service will be held at 2PM January 10, 2017 at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin with Pastor Randy Wright officiating. The burial will follow at Southampton Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8PM at the funeral home and after the funeral at Adam and Kelle Moore's house at 20454 Ivor Rd. in Courtland.
