Boykins – Carroll Raymond "Buck" Drake, 81, unexpectedly passed away November 18, 2021.   Born and raised in Boykins, he was a son of the late Raleigh Linwood Drake and Clara Mae Barnes Drake.

Carroll was a graduate of Southampton High School and attended Virginia Tech.  He was retired from Union Camp Corporation with 37 years of service.  Carroll was a member of Franklin Baptist Church, the Bronco Club, and No. 8 School House Hunt Club.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 60 years, Barbara Bryant Lee Drake; two sons, Glen C. Drake (Gwyn) and Dean R. Drake (friend Joy Pack); a brother, Robert L. Drake; two grandchildren, Jeremy G. Drake (Cori) and Wayland Andrew Drake (Kayla); and three great grandchildren, Bryan Cahill, Jacob Drake and Jaxon Drake.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2PM Tuesday, November 23, 2021 in Beechwood Cemetery with Rev. Tom Wallace officiating.  The family will receive friends any time at their home and suggests that memorial donations be made to Boykins Fire and Rescue or your favorite charity.
