Obituary

Ivor - Carol Lorraine Lowe, 70 passed away peacefully on March 7, 2019 at East Pavilion. Carol was born April 28, 1948 and was a lifelong resident of Ivor, Virginia and spent her later years at East Pavilion.  She was predeceased by her mother, Rebecca Rollison Lowe and her father, John Burt Lowe.  Carol was a member of Black Creek Baptist Church where she held long time friendships and came to know her Savior.  Carol is survived by her brother John W. "Jack" Lowe (Janette), and sisters Betty Sue Young (Walter), Ann Lowe Rawls (John) and Dawn Lowe Mosena (Richard); all of Southampton County.  She is also survived by a host of nieces & nephews as well as numerous friends.

Carol loved the farm life.  Her favorite activities included fishing, hunting, and gardening.  Her love for animals big and small was only surpassed by the love she had for her family.  Carol loved country music.  She would clap her hands or tap her feet whenever her favorite songs came on the radio.  Carol was a warm sweet soul and always had a smile to share.  She had a sense of humor that was contagious.  Above all, she was a teacher of life's lessons.  Those lessons she shared with others will truly be her legacy.  She was a loving sister, aunt, & great-aunt.  If you were friends with Carol, you were friends for life.

The family would like to thank East Pavilion for the care Carol received over the years.  The commitment and patience of the staff made her stay comfortable and content.
