Suffolk – Calvin Darden , 77, passed away August 24, 2017 at his home surrounded by family. Mr. Darden was a native of Nansemond County and was the son of the late Moses Darden and Carlee Turner Darden and was also predeceased by three brothers, Ryland, G.G. and Ivan and a sister Mildred. He was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church and was a heavy equipment operator for Vulcan Materials Company.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 38 years Brenda Vick Darden, two daughters, Robin Hewett and Kim Vansant (Bobby), two sons, Ricky N. Darden (Jim Yarbrough) and Linwood C. Darden (Lois), nine grandchildren, Jessica, Brittney, Emily Grace, Tara, Amanda, Melissa, Erin, Tommy and Lauren and ten great grandchildren, Gabriel, Braylen, Ryland, Carson, Creedence , Ryder, Brooklyn, Rhianna, Kyleigh and River.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 7 to 9PM Monday August 28, 2017 at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin. Memorial donations can be made to the Leukemia Association. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
