Ivor – Buckley Wayne Duke, 73, passed away June 4, 2026 in his home.  Born in Suffolk, he was a son of the late George Clarence Duke and Virginia Morton Duke.  He was also predeceased by his wife, Clara Johnson Duke; a sister, Lynn Duke Francis and her husband, Larry Francis; and a brother, Herbert Thomas "Tommy" Duke.

Buckley served in the US Army and was a Cook Room Operator for International Paper where he retired after 33 years.  He was a former maintenance mechanic for Newport News Shipyard and the owner of Duke Small Engine Repair.  Buckley enjoyed playing guitar and singing.

Left to cherish his memory are two sons, Billy Duke (Stephanie) and Michael Duke (Fran); five grandchildren, Dylan Duke, Tyler Duke, Zack Duke, Wyatt Duke, and Sterling Duke; a sister-in-law, Judy Duke; brother-in-law, William "Bootie" Johnson (Florence "Flo"); and his dog and BFF, Jasper Duke.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2PM Tuesday, June 9, 2026 in Wright Funeral Home with Rev. Kelby Lilly officiating.  Burial with Military Honors will follow in Rosemont Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6 to 8PM Monday in the funeral home and suggests memorial donations may be made to any favorite charity.
