Franklin – Brenda Saunders Marshall, 71, widow of Alfred Herbert Marshall, Jr., passed away on December 31, 2021 at Southside Regional Medical Center. She was born on July 26, 1950, to the late Willie Allen Saunders and Otelia Gay Saunders. Brenda was also predeceased by six sisters, Sarah Edwards, Mary Elizabeth Munford, Willie Clark, Charlotte Malcolm-Woodie, Nancy Hall and Rebecca Hedgepeth, and two brothers, Willie Allen Saunders, Jr. and Johnnie Roosevelt Saunders.

Brenda was a graduate of Windsor High School.  She was a former bookkeeper for Parker Drug and former pharmacy clerk at Farm Fresh.  She was a member of Elevate Church in Windsor.

Left to cherish her memory is two daughters Amy M. Salvitti (Matthew) and Wendy M. Freeman (Richard ) both of Franklin; three grandchildren, Alexis Salvitti, Skylar Freeman, and Reed Freeman; a host of nieces and nephews; and a special sister-in-law, Rebecca Fowler.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, January 5, 2022 in Wright Funeral Home with Pastor Thomas Steel Carr officiating.  Burial will follow in Southampton Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM on Tuesday in the funeral home and suggests that memorial donations be made to Elevate Church of Windsor, 23486 Deer Path Trail, Windsor, VA  23487.
