Franklin- Brenda Catherine Bradshaw Daughtrey passed away suddenly in the early morning hours of December 9 ^th, 2018.  Brenda was born July 17, 1940 in Franklin to the late William Mills Bradshaw, Jr., and Armorel Bradshaw Johnson. Brenda graduated from Franklin High School, attended Meredith College, and graduated from Chowan College.

She was a lifelong member of the Franklin Baptist Church and served as a deacon and on several committees. She began her career at Union Camp Corporation and retired as a senior purchasing agent in 1997 after 38 years.  Brenda was an avid reader and enjoyed participating with the Franklin Literary Club.  She loved to spend time with friends playing bridge and mahjong.  She was a member of the Franklin Garden Club and enjoyed sharing this activity with her sisters.  Brenda was passionate about her family and friends serving them loyally with a generous and giving spirit.

Brenda is survived by her husband of 58 years, Edwin P. Daughtrey, Jr. of Franklin; two daughters, Armorel Catherine "Cathy" Goodman, and her husband Brad of Oceanside, New York and their two daughters Lauren Goodman Umlauf, husband Billy, and son Lucas of Naples, Florida and Jena Brooke Goodman of Boston, Massachusetts; Lisa D. Brinkley and her husband Troy and their four children Alexander, Grayson, Meghan, and Landon of Norfolk, Virginia; a sister Cherry B. Brown and her husband Clement of Williamsburg, VA as well as a host of nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her sister Eleanor "Millie" Bradshaw Hotchkiss also of Franklin.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday the 13 ^th of December in the Franklin Baptist Church, Dr. Charles Qualls, officiant. The family will receive friends following the service in the Fellowship Hall.
