Ivor – Barbara Pierce "Bobbie" Ellis, 77, passed away December 15, 2019 in Parsons Residential Care Center in Chesapeake.  Born in Suffolk, Bobbie was a daughter of the late George Lilton and Ella Mae Munford Pierce.  She was a 1961 graduate of Windsor High School and a school bus driver for Southampton County Public Schools for over 30 years.   Bobbie was a member of Maranatha Bible Church in Windsor.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 58 years D. Wayne Ellis; daughter Janet Ellis Carpenter (Ronnie) of Midland; son Douglas Wayne Ellis, Jr. (Beverly) of Ivor; three sisters Betty Modlin of Franklin, Nancy Howell (RA) of Windsor, and Pat Hairston (Chip) of Roanoke; one brother Donnie "Buddy" Pierce (Marcia) of Windsor and three grandchildren Coley Carpenter and Meaghan and Hunter Ellis; and a sister-in-law Brenda Bradshaw of Sedley, along with many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, December 18, 2019 in Wright Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home and suggests that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 6350 Center Drive, Suite 102, Norfolk, VA  23502.
