Capron – Blanche Rose Kirkland, 87, passed away December 18, 2016 at the East Pavilion in Franklin. Mrs. Kirkland was born in Capron and was a daughter of the late James Henry and Lillie Chitty Kirkland. She was a former resident of Norfolk and was retired from General Electric. Blanche was a member of Capron Baptist Church. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers, Ruben, Linwood and Paul Kirkland and three sisters, Mabel Drake, Gladys Starke and Lizzie K. Terry.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral will be conducted at 2PM Tuesday December 20, 2016 at the Capron Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home of Billy and Debbie Sutton, 18196 Elm Ave. Capron ,VA and suggests that memorial donations be made to either the Capron Baptist Church, P.O.
