Obituary

Ivor – Beverly Bebout Worsham, 73, passed away July 31, 2018 in her home. Born January 26, 1945 to the late Thomas and Louise Foster Bebout, Beverly received a Bachelor's degree from Randolph Macon Woman's College in Lynchburg and a Master's of Library Science degree from UNC Chapel Hill with post graduate work done at Virginia Tech where she served as a librarian.  She was the Assistant Director of Walter Cecil Rawls Library and Museum, a former historian for the Southampton Historical Society, and a member of Grace Memorial United Methodist Church.  She was an avid reader who loved being surrounded by books.  She loved decorating her home on Appleton Road with all of the antiques she collected over the years.  She also loved researching her families' histories and assisted many others with their genealogy.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years William "Bill" Warriner Worsham; a daughter Sarah Katherine Rexrode (Jason) of Highland County; a son David Thomas "Buck" Worsham (Beth) of Ivor; and granddaughter Riley Samantha Worsham; and several cousins.  She has loved and cared for many pets over the years.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, August 4, 2018 in Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Cliff Fritzinger and Rev. William Sloan officiating.  Burial will follow at Rosemont Cemetery in Sedley.  The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Friday in the funeral home and suggests that memorial donations be made to The Alzheimer's Association, SEVA Chapter, in the name of Memory Loss Group of Franklin VA, 6350 Center Dr., Suite 102, Norfolk, VA 23402-4006, Attn. Sherry Warren or Southampton Historical Society.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the special caregivers who have cared for their wife and mother over the years.  They are truly special people and are very much now a part of the Worsham family. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
