Courtland – Beulah Cheek Head, 84, died November 9, 2007. She was born in Winston-Salem, NC. and retired from Southampton Memorial Hospital Housekeeping Department.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 38 years, Roy Head; a daughter, Cathy Hutchins of Franklin; two sons, James Hutchins of Winston-Salem, NC. and Ellis Hutchins of King, NC.; two sisters, Betty Hinson of Trap Hill, NC. and Bonnie Hinson of Winston-Salem, NC.; two brothers, John Creek of Franklin and Ray Cheek of Winston-Salem, NC; twelve grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Mrs. Head was predeceased by her parents, David Charles and Florence Sparks Cheek; two sons, Edward A. Hutchins and Tommy Hutchins; and her beloved Pop-Eye.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 am Monday in Southampton Memorial Park. The family suggests memorials may be made to a favorite charity. Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, is assisting the family. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
