Zuni – Betty U. Creason, 84, passed away December 14, 2013. Graveside services are scheduled for 11 AM Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Tucker Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Curtis Faison officiating. Betty was born in Odessa, TX, on June 21, 1929 to Miles and Nancy UpChurch. She married John P. Creason and they moved to Zuni, Virginia in 1977.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John P. Creason; parents, Miles and Nancy UpChurch; brothers, Miles UpChurch, Richard UpChurch and Bobby UpChurch and sisters, Gwen Richardson, Modena Collins and Nancy Powell.
Survivors include sons, Olen Paul Creason and wife, Kathy Creason, and John David Creason and wife, Betsy Creason, all of Wakefield; sisters, Jody Davis of Miami, OK and Edna Close and her husband, Frank, of Grove , OK; grandchildren, Felicia Mobley, John Paul Creason and wife, Katie, Paul Thomas Creason and girlfriend, Maria, and Rebecca Creason; great-grandchildren, Karlie Mobley, Amora Chirico, Cadence Creason, and Conner Creason; Sentara home health care, especially Celestine and Allison, and her special best friend, Lacy.
Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, is assisting the family.
