Franklin – Betty Ann Bradshaw Hadsell, 82, widow of William Valentine "Billy" Hadsell, Jr., passed away December 6, 2019 in Sentara Obici Hospital surrounded by family and friends. Brought up in Franklin, Betty Ann was a daughter of the late Noah "Pete" Bradshaw, Jr. and Edna Virginia Hennaman Bradshaw and was also predeceased by a brother Robert A. "Bobby" Bradshaw and a grandson Warren Kent. She was a 1955 graduate of Franklin High School and an office manager for Dr. Fred Ward in Franklin and Dr. Michael Pike in Cary, NC. Betty Ann was a member of Oxford United Methodist Church and a former member of Grace Memorial United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Franklin Literary Club.
Left to cherish her memory are six daughters Nancy Ann Hadsell, Diane H. Spicer (Frank), Betty Carole Smith, Laura H. Gordon (Kelly)), Carol H. Gaskin (Bud), and Ann H. Ferguson; three sons William V. Hadsell, III (Peggy), Dr. Michael J. Hadsell (Pamela), and Russell C. Brett, III (Christine); one brother Keith H. Bradshaw (Geri); sixteen grandchildren Jessica Brett, Amy Brett Anderson (Mike), Aubrey Maryn Brett, Jennifer Stuart (Jay), Amanda Morton (Ben), Katie Howard Claflin (Matthew), Carolyn Dyer, Brian Kent (Elizabeth), Dr. Michael Hadsell, Jr. (Courtney), Mary Bettencourt (Ryan), Anna Hadsell, Adam Gaskin (Toni), Brian Gaskin, Jim Hadsell (Shy), Ian Hadsell, and Elizabeth Smith; nineteen great grandchildren Ethan Drames, Matthew, Phineas, and Zoe Morton, Charles and Liam Stuart, Skylar Brett, Justice and Adrienne Gaskin, Jaxon Anderson, Chanel and Giselle Ash, Nyx and Xekan Hadsell, Joshua and Ellie Kent, Madden Dyer, Blake and Ashlyn Gaskin; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2PM Saturday, December 14, 2019 in Wright Funeral Home with Rev. Rita Kanten officiating. The family suggests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
