Franklin – Betty Allen, 89, widow of George Presley Allen, passed away April 6, 2026 at the East Pavilion. Betty was a native of Emporia and a graduate of Greensville County High School. She was the only child of the late Charlie Winfield and Louise Jones Allen. She was a bookkeeper for George Allen Appliance and a longtime member of Hunterdale Christian Church where she had served on the finance committee and Women's Fellowship. She was currently a member of Harvest Christian Fellowship.

Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Amy Allen Gardner and her husband Bobby of Suffolk and DeEtte Allen Fulk and her husband Kevin of Bridgewater, and three granddaughters, Morgan Leigh Trahan, Payton Olivia Fulk, and Bailey Brooke Fulk.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, April 17, 2026 in Wright Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Wright officiating. The burial will follow at Greensville Memorial Cemetery in Emporia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home and suggests memorial donations be made to Partners Among Cats and Canines (PACC), P O Box 1133, Franklin, VA  23851
