Zuni – Bernie Lee "Bro Bernie" Williams, 69, died June 16, 2008. He was born in War, WV, a son of the late Fay Staten and Howard Walden Williams. He was predeceased by two brothers, Ralph and Jerry Williams. An army veteran, Bernie was retired from Union Camp Corporation as a supervisor in the roll finishing department. A local musician, he played guitar, fiddle, and especially the harmonica.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Dorothy Olsen Williams; two daughters, Debbie Lee Bradshaw and husband, Andy, and Karen Bernadette Mulder and husband, Robbie, all of Suffolk; sister, Louise Sammons of Monroe, NC; brother, Jimmy Williams of Tampa, FL; and three grandchildren, Andrea Curry and husband, Chris, Zachary Mulder, and Olivia Mulder.
A celebration of Bernie's life, with military honors, will be conducted Friday at 2 pm at Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Karika officiating. Memorials may be made in Bernie's name to your local American Cancer Relay for Life. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
