Obituary

Franklin – Bernice Cobb Carr Wilson, 91, passed away January 15, 2019 in Sentara Obici Hospital.  Bernice was a native of Southampton County and was a daughter of the late Presley Lee Cobb and Thelma Bradshaw Cobb and was also predeceased by her first husband Arthur Clifton Carr, Jr., her second husband Ernest Newton Wilson, Sr., her stepson Ernest Newton "Skip" Wilson, Jr., and three sisters Oretha Newsome, Sallie Blythe and Lena Blankenship .   She was a member of Black Creek Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memory is two daughters Anita C. Jordan (Ralph) and Kathy C. Bryant (Clint); a son Wayne L. Carr (Connie); a stepson Sidney Wilson (Judy); eight grandchildren Trisha Mulder (Marshall), Davis Magette (Isa), Beth Carr, Glenn Magette (Katie), Angel Hatfield (Jamie), Adam Bryant (Kristy), Joseph Carr (Tiffany), and John Bryant (Christa); and seventeen great-grandchildren Clifton, Mary, Marshall, Ashton, Zach, Kaleb, Cam, Baylee, Sophia, Matthew, Braydon, Hudson, Brooklyn, Camden, David, Charlie, and Michael.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, January 19, 2019 in Black Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. David Patton officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 PM in Wright Funeral Home and suggests memorial donations be made to Black Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.  The family would like to thank the staff of Consulate Health Care of Windsor for their loving care of their mother.   www.wrightfuneralhome.org
