Emporia – Bernice Edwards Jones, 95, passed away November 28, 2014. She was a daughter of the late James Dayton and Bettie Sue Vick Edwards and was predeceased by her husband, F. Lawrence Jones. She was also predeceased by a sister, Lucille Hood and a brother James Edwards. Mrs. Jones was a loving wife, mother, and "Granny." Her kind spirit and her warm heart will always be remembered.

Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Betty Britt (Sam) of Franklin and Pamela Grizzard of Emporia; nine grandchildren, Courtney Worrall, Jewel Grizzard, Sarah Grizzard, Noah Grizzard, Hannah Anderson, Mary Jones, Margaret Grizzard, John Gregory and Scott Gregory; and five great-grandchildren, Charity Kinsinger, Marley Grizzard, Wyatt Anderson, Zachary Grizzard, and Clay Anderson.

The funeral will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Boykins United Methodist Church with Rev. Michael Baugham and Rev. Steve Gibson officiating. Burial will follow at Beechwood Cemetery.
