Franklin- Bernice Clark Beale, 87, passed away July 24, 2015. Mrs. Beale was a daughter of the late Anderson and Annie Clark and the widow of Ocie Lawrence Beale. She was also predeceased by her son, Lawrence C. Beale, one sister, Myrtle Darden and three brothers, Carl, Willie and Rufus Clark.

She was a member of Black Creek Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memory are three daughters, Paige Boyette (Richard) of Machipongo, Sylvia Gray (Randy) of Franklin and Connie Alphin of Glen Allen, a daughter-in-law, Sue Beale of Franklin, two sisters, Mattie Roach of Carrollton and Lydia Howell of Appomatox, two brothers, Clarence Clark of Suffolk and Henry Clark of Courtland, four grandchildren, Melissa Nelson (Mark), Jason Gray (Brandi) and Miles and Megan Beale, three great grandchildren, Caroline and Camrey Nelson and Brantley Gray.

A funeral will be held at 2 PM Sunday, July 26, 2015 at Black Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Greg Kitts officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Wright Funeral Home Saturday from 6 to 8 PM and suggests that memorial donations be made to the Black Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 34163 Vicksville Rd.
