Obituary

Benjamin Louis "Bud" Pitts, Jr. 82, passed away August 5, 2012 at Southampton Memorial Hospital. He was born in Yanceyville, North Carolina, a son of the late Benjamin Louis Pitts and Cornelia Merrit Woody Pitts. He was predeceased by his wife Beatrice Mae Pitts, a brother Milton Pitts, and an infant grandson, Mickey Pitts, Jr. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, and a retired sawyer in the Saw Mill of Union Camp Corporation.
Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Debbie Wiggins and husband Wayne of Suffolk, three sons, Donnie Pitts and wife Romona of Franklin, Mickey Pitts and wife Jennifer of Courtland, and Bobby Pitts and wife Amy of Courtland, a sister, Lilly P. Colmant of Live Oak Fl, seven grandchildren, Brandon, Doodle Bug, Matthew, Katie, Scott, Wade, and Trevor, and four great-grandchildren, Mckynsi, Luke, Gavin, and Mason.
The funeral will be conducted at 11a.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at Wright Funeral Home, with the burial to follow at Southampton Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday (today) at the funeral home, and suggest that memorials be made to your favorite charity.
