Benjamin S.
Dillon
Nov 5, 1973 — Jun 12, 2017
Franklin
Franklin - Benjamin Stevan Dillon, 43, left this world in a blaze of glory and entered the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ on June 12, 2017. Ben was born in Little Falls, New York and resided in Franklin since he was a toddler. He was the son of David Spencer Dillon and Patricia Lakeman Dillon. He is survived by his wife, Micah Nowell Futrell Dillon, a son, Stone and a daughter, Stella, a sister, Margaret Tate Ballance (Paul), a brother, Daniel Saunders Dillon (Jill), four nieces, Rebecca, Amber, Emily and Abbey Ballance, five nephews, Russell Ballance, Jack, D.J., Benny and Dallas Dillon.
Ben was a graduate of Rock Church High School. He attended Paul D. Camp Community College and graduated from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. Currently, he was completing a master's degree in Christian Ministry at the Kaleo Institute. For twenty years, he was the heart and soul of Rock Church School serving as a High School teacher and Principal. Ben poured out his life on behalf of his students that he loved like they were his own children.
He was known for being a devoted husband to Micah and an amazing, hands-on father to Stone and Stella. His basketball skills earned him the moniker "Law Dawg" for his prowess in stealing the ball from opposing players. Also, he was a leaper; renowned for his ability to "jump out of the gym." In a word, Ben Dillon was a servant; a gracious servant. He loved Jesus Christ and from that relationship he tirelessly served people. Ben was a gentle giant; kind and caring on one hand and a responsible, capable leader and visionary on the other. Ben loved people and his easy going demeanor enabled him to be an encourager and friend to a great many.
