Franklin – Barbara Staton Wade, 85, passed away March 25, 2020 in Southampton Memorial Hospital.  Born in Scotland Neck, NC, she was a daughter of the late Allen V. and Lucille Allsbrook Staton.  Barbara was a graduate of Scotland Neck High School and Rex Hospital School of Nursing in Raleigh, NC.  She was an Operating Room Nurse for Dr. Mills Britt for over 30 years and a long-time member of Franklin Baptist Church.

Barbara's husband of 63 years, Bobby Lewis Wade, passed away shortly before her on March 25, 2020.

Left to cherish her memory are two daughters Cynthia W. Barb (Mike) and Tina W. Martin (David); three sisters Jerry A. Batchelor, Debbie D. Smith (Mike), and Luci A. Dupree; four grandchildren Justin L. Barb, Heather L. Barb, Ashley M. Causey (Neil), and Wade A. Martin; and two great grandchildren Annabelle and Scarlett Causey.

Due to the Covid-19 situation, Bobby and Barbara will have a private service and burial.  The family suggests that memorial donations be made to Franklin Baptist Church.
