Capron – Archer Linwood "Archie" Harrell, 76, passed away June 21, 2026 in his home.  Born in North Carolina, he was a son of the late Linwood Franklin Harrell and Shirley Woodruff Harrell.  He was also predeceased by his wife Debra McCann Harrell.

Archie was a graduate of Weldon High School and a retired Food Service Manager at Southampton Correctional Center.  He was a longtime member of Indian Town Hunt Club and Emporia Country Club.

Left to cherish his memory is his son, A. J. Harrell (Tammy) of Emporia; a sister, Mary Ann Watts of Burlington, NC; a brother, James T. Harrell (Patsy) of Emporia; two grandsons, Dustin Clay Harrell (Megan) and Zack Lamm (Natalie Pugh); a great grandson, Greyson Harrell; and his three puppies, Roscoe, Pretty Girl, and Dixie.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8PM Friday, June 26, 2026 in Wright Funeral Home and suggests that memorial donations be made to Indian Town Hunt Club.
