Anthony Wayne Caulder, 48, passed away on August 6, 2012 at his home after a year long illness. Wayne was born in Portsmouth, but resided in Sedley most of his life. He was a son of the late Bobby I. Caulder, Sr. and Mildred Anne Wadsworth Boyd. He was a former employee of McClean Contractors. He was a member of Kingdom Life Ministries in Chesapeake and had a passion for mission work. He had been on five humanitarian trips to Romania.
He is survived be his wife of twenty years, Debbie C. Caulder, one daughter, Ami-ann Caulder and fiancée, Steven Lofay, a stepson, Byron Banks and wife Melanie, one sister Joann Emory, two stepsisters, Melanie Johnson and Naomi Koontz, five brothers, Bobby Caulder, Jr., Michael Caulder, Nathan Caulder, Neal Caulder, and Dale Carter, four grandchildren, Steven, Ashlyn, Jocelyn, and Colton, and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 2p.m., Thursday, August 9, 2012 in the Chapel of Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, with the Reverend Randy Wooden officiating. The burial will be private at Rosemont Cemetery in Sedley. The` family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and after the service at the funeral home.
