Branchville – Annie Louise Compton Bishop, 72, passed away on February 1, 2023 in her home.  Born in Lunenburg County, she was a daughter of the late William Henry Compton and Nellie Hazlewood Compton.  She was also predeceased by her husband, Thomas Lee Bishop, Jr., and her step daughter, Joanne Bishop Pearce.

Survivors include three daughters, Brandi Tanyer (John), Jaclyn Bishop (Alex), and Nellie B. Walters (Jason); two sons, Michael Wayne Elders, Jr. (Liz) and Thomas Lee Bishop, III (Anna); thirteen grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held Sunday, February 12, 2023 from 6 to 8PM in Wright Funeral Home.  The family suggests that memorial donations be made to any favorite charity.
