Albany, Ga. – Anna Fowler Reel Butler, 88, passed away May 1, 2009 at Palmyra Nursing Home. Mrs. Butler was born July 25, 1920 in Franklin, VA., a daughter of the late Willie Ray and Elnora Cutchins Fowler. She was predeceased by her first husband, Jesse W. Reel; a granddaughter, Renea Reel; one sister, Armorel Johnson; and two brothers, Randolph and James Fowler. Mrs. Butler was a homemaker and of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include her husband, David Butler; one son, J. W. Reel, Jr. and wife, Sylvia; two grandchildren, Charles Reel and Cindy Ellington; one great-grandson, Dylan Ellington; and four nieces.
A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday at 11 am at Poplar Spring Cemetery. Visitation will follow the service at the cemetery. Wright Funeral Home is handling local arrangements. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
