Boykins – Alton H. Overby, Jr. , 69, passed away March 12, 2017 at Courtland Health Care Center. Alton was born in North Carolina, a son of the late Alton and Corenia Bryant Overby. He was a retired chemical salesman and a member of Courtland Baptist Church.

He is survived by a daughter, Jean Marie Rowland (Jeremy) of Ivor, a brother, Dennis W. Overby of Branchville , a granddaughter, Lylah Rowland, one niece, Renee Edwards and two nephews, Michael Edwards (Robin) and Justin Overby.

A memorial service will be held at 2PM Saturday March 18, 2017 in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin with the Rev. Renee Edwards officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service and suggests that memorial donations be made to the Boykins Volunteer Fire and Rescue, P.O.
