Capron – Heaven gained a beautiful angel on November 25, 2022 at 7:44 a.m. when Allietta Michelle "Chellie" Jernigan, 47, passed away surrounded by her loving husband and two children, Haley and Mason.  She was a devoted wife, loving mother, caring daughter, and beautiful Mimi.

Michelle was born in Lynchburg, VA and a graduate of Buckingham High School.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, George Thomas "Tommy" Jernigan, III; her mother, Linda Owen Moss; her father, Ryland Roy Peters, Sr. (Gladys); a daughter, Haley Jernigan Long (Jamie); four sons, T. J. Jernigan (Holly), Jesse Jernigan (Connie), William Jernigan (Kelsey), and Mason Jernigan (Emily); two brothers, Ryland Roy Peters, Jr. (Jennifer) and Joey Dove (Lori); and five grandchildren, Preston, Aaliyah, Lillie Rose, Bailey, and Kaitlyn.  Michelle was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Alec and Myrtle Owen; her paternal grandparents, Ralph and Frances Peters; and a brother, Donnie Dove.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 5:30 to 8 PM on the patio of Fred's Restaurant.  Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
