Sedley – Alice Gray Ezzell Hewett, 73, died March 27, 2012. Born in Whiteville, NC, she was a daughter of the late Odell and Mae Richardson Ezzell and retired from Hancock Peanut Company, Courtland, after 26 years of service. She was a member of Sedley Baptist Church.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 56 years, Alfred D. "Cubie" Hewett; three sons, Jimmy Hewett (Chris) of Kitty Hawk, NC, Gary Hewett of Sedley, and Darrell Hewett (Barbara) of Courtland; sister, Pansy E. Hardwick; brother, Paul Ezzell; six grandchildren, Mandy and Josh Hewett, Scott (Brandy) and Luke Hewett, Melisa and Amanda Hewett and a great grandson, Cole Hewett.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 30, 2012 at Sedley Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Foreman officiating. Interment will follow in Rosemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends today (Thursday) from 7 -8:30 p.m. at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, and suggests memorials be made to Sedley Baptist Church.
