Lawrenceville – Alice Malone "Maisie", Browder, 87, widow of James Wilbur Browder, Jr., died February 21, 2010 at Southampton Memorial Hospital in Franklin. She was born in Brunswick County, a daughter of the late Ashton Barnes and Annie Cumbia Malone and was predeceased by a sister, Rachel M. Arrington. She was a member of Edgerton United Methodist Church.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Alice Malone Browder of Wilson, NC; her son, Rev. James W. Browder, III, of Courtland; two sisters, Madeline M. Roberts (Jesse) of Lawrenceville and Mary Elizabeth M. Young (Ben) of South Hill; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 pm Saturday in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, with the Rev. James H. Hyatt, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Lawrenceville.
