Alfred Naranjo Gore

Windsor – Alfred Naranjo Gore, 59, passed away August 12, 2026 in Riverside Regional Medical Center. Born in Miami, FL, and raised in Richmond, he was a 1985 graduate of Mills Godwin High School where he was inducted into their Hall of Fame. Al was also a 1989 graduate of Hampden Sydney where he also played football.

Alfred enjoyed hunting, fishing and coaching softball and baseball. His son has memories of duck hunting at the farm and off shore fishing. Alfred enjoyed big game hunting in Zimbabwe and South Africa and also hunted in Canada, Colorado and Illinois. He enjoyed the beach and ocean and always built sand castles and also enjoyed going to Jamaica several times with his wife and friends.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Landon Wellington Gore and Georgette Schnabel Gore; his daughter, Elizabeth Austin Gore of Windsor; a son, Landon Chase Gore (Danielle) of Ossipee, NH; a sister, GiGi Holstrom (Chris) of Chesterfield; a brother, Keith Gore (Nicole) of Glen Allen; two grandsons, Wade and Lane Gore; two nieces, Sydney Gore and Ava Jones; two nephews, Payton Gore and Ethan Jones; sisters/brothers-in-law, Brian and Shaunna Byrum and Gary and Kathy Shaffer and a brother-in-law, Will Jones; and his beloved dogs, Jenny, Bandit and Ziggy.

Alfred is now at peace with his loving wife, Jennifer Jones Gore.
