Newsoms – Aleta Joyce Fowler, 91, passed away on December 25, 2022 in St. Mary's Hospital.  Born in Birmingham, AL, she was a daughter of the late Athois E. Rhea and Mildred Louise Tischer Rhea.  She was also predeceased by her sister, Gail Ellen Rhea Otis and a brother, Ralph E. Rhea.

Aleta was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse, a member of Newsoms United Methodist Church, and the epitome of a "true southern belle".

Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Henry E. Fowler, Jr., her son. L. W. "Big John or Chip" Talley, Jr. (Stephanie), and two grandchildren, Sarah Joyce Talley and L. W. Talley, III.

A Graveside Service will be held at 1PM Friday, December 30, 2022 in Hollywood Cemetery with Dr. John Paul Lotz officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5 to 7PM Thursday in Wright Funeral Home and suggests memorial donations be made to any favorite charity.
