Franklin- Aleene Castellow Hayes, 80, passed away April 23, 2016 at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was a native of Suffolk and was a daughter of the late James Castellow and Maggie Gilbert Castellow. She was also predeceased by three sisters, a brother, Annie, Martha ,Georgia, Jimmy and her son-in-law, Jack Knapp.

Aleene was a graduate of Holland High School and was a member of Hunterdale Christian Church. She was the bookkeeper for Billy at Hayes Body Shop.

Survivors include her husband of sixty years, Billy Vernon Hayes, one daughter, Debbie H. Knapp of Chesapeake, her twin sister, Pauline C. Padgett of Suffolk and nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral will be conducted at 2PM Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Southampton Memorial Park with the Rev. Armand Jalbert officiating. The family will receive friends at Wright Funeral Home Monday from 6 to 7:30 PM and suggests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
