Franklin – Agnes Kume Gayle, 86, passed away May 22, 2023 in Courtland Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.  Born in Premier, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late John and Helen Hornok Kume.  She was also predeceased by her husband, Wesley Cobb Gayle and two brothers, Andy and Paul Kume.

Agnes was a graduate of Courtland High School and a retired secretary for St. Regis Paper Company with 35 years of service.  She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church.

Left to cherish her memory is her sister, Helen Matthews of Richmond, and many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11AM Thursday, May 25, 2023 in St. Jude Catholic Church with Father Emmanuel Mensah officiating.  Burial will follow in Poplar Spring Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5 to 7PM Wednesday in Wright Funeral Home and suggests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Catholic Church.
