Franklin – Adrian Simmons Lee, 55, passed away November 12, 2025 in Southside Regional Medical Center.  Born on September 13, 1970, she was a daughter of the late Donald Bryant Corbitt and Blanche Elizabeth Levinson Whitley.  She was also predeceased by her step father, Jimmy "Pop Pop" Whitley.

Adrian was a graduate of Forest Glen High School.  She was somebody who helped everyone who needed it most.  She was the brightest crayon in the box and loved to laugh, joke, and listen to good music.  One of her favorite things to do was cooking.  Her favorite color was green.  She loved to spend time with those who were close to her (friends and family).  Simply, her motto was "Let's have a good time all the time".

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, John Allen Lee; a daughter, Amanda "Mandy" Simmons of Virginia Beach; a son Billy Brian "JR" Simmons, Jr. (Cheyanne) of Franklin; two sisters, Cindy Madray and Donna Turner; and three grandchildren, Joshua, Layla, and Emerick.

Not only was she a wonderful mom and grandparent, aka Nay Nay to her beautiful grandchildren, but was also Nay Nay to others that she indeed loved so dearly.  She was loved by Mandy and JR so very much.  Even on her bad days, they both tried to cheer her up as best as they could. She will forever be missed by them and those who loved and cared for her.
