Norfolk – Ada Ellen Griffey, 86, formerly of Franklin, passed away April 10, 2023 in Sentara Leigh Hospital.  Born in Westmoreland County, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Ethel McKinney Morris.  She was also predeceased by her husband, Hasel Milton "Griff" Griffey, her former husband, Willie Lee "Wickie" Wilkerson, and her son, Michael Raye Wilkerson.

Ada was a retired Patient's Account Agent for Sentara Norfolk General Hospital and a former employee of Southampton Memorial Hospital.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Barbara W. Nixon (Charles) of Sebrell; her son, Richard Mark Wilkerson (Yvonne) of Suffolk; and four grandchildren, Bailey Wilkerson, Shea Wilkerson, Caitlin Wilkerson, and Brandi Wright.

A Memorial Service will be held at 6PM Monday, April 17, 2023 in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin with Pastor Jose Sagianto officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service and suggests that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
